Where are you located?

We are part of Richland Hills Church of Christ, located at 6300 NE Loop 820 in North Richland Hills, TX 71680. MAP TO RHCC.

What is your class schedule like?

Bible classes meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. The junior high meets upstairs and the high school class meets together in the downstairs classroom.

Wednesdays, the youth center opens at 5:00 pm. A concession stand offers pizza, Chick-fil-a, nachos, hot dogs, candy, ice cream, soft drinks and other snack items at a nominal cost. Our game room offers several popular game systems, including Playstation II, Wii, Xbox, etc. We also have ping pong, a pool table, foosball and air hockey, along with some old fashioned arcade games. These are all free to all 6th-12th graders. (We ask that no one younger than 6th grade use the game room.) The Junior High teens go to their class at 7:00 pm and the High School teens’ class begins at 7:15. The Youth Center closes at 9:00 pm.

I’ve heard about “D-Groups”. What are these?

During the school year, each grade breaks up into smaller groups that meet in homes – typically in their own geographic area and with other teens they may attend school with. “D” stands for Disciple – and we encourage our teens to develop a deeper understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ in a more indepth study time. Junior High D-Groups meet on the first 2 Sundays of each month, and High School D-Groups meet the first 3 Sundays of each month. Sign ups take place in the fall, but your teen is welcome to join at any time during the year. Click on the top Ministries Tab to learn more.

The calendar shows “Recycle” and “Off the Chain”. What is this?

On the 4th Sunday of each month, all D-Group members and teens gather together for a fun outreach activity as a way to invite friends. The Junior High students’ event is called “Off the Chain”, while the High School students attend something they call “Recycle”. (No, there is no hidden meaning in either name!)

What retreats do you offer during the year?

Both Junior High and High School ministry offers a Fall Retreat and a Spring Retreat. They are normally held at a camp within 30-40 miles from RHCC. We encourage teens to bring their friends and adults are invited and needed to be sponsors. Each person going on a retreat will turn in a notarized medical form and a youth permission form. Forms and payment are due the Wednesday night before the event. You will find these on the “Forms” tab.

Do you offer other outside events during the school year?

Yes! Other than D-Groups, Off the Chain and Recycle, we gather occasionally for a youth time of praise and worship. We offer service opportunities and various other activities. Clicking on each listing on the Calendar will lead you to the most current event.

So, what about the summer activities?

Summers are full of many events. We offer mission trips and camps to various places, broken down by the grades/ages. Check the website each February and March for more summer details.
