Marriage Matters

The Marriage Matters Ministry exists for the purpose of strengthening and saving marriages to the glory of God.

The ministry supports the following classes, seminars and support groups: 

Nearly Wed Seminar is designed to help you prepare for your marriage...not just the wedding! Most couples planning to marry spend a great deal of time, energy and money on their wedding, which lasts only a few hours. Unfortunately, they often neglect to invest much in building relationship skills that will help them have a more fulfilling lifetime together. The Nearly Wed seminar will help get your marriage off to a great start. It will help you build upon strengths you have as a couple and assist you in more clearly identifying areas in your relationship that may be problematic or in need of enrichment. Each week a different subject will be addressed. In addition, you will be given pre-marital relationship assessment that will highlight the strengths and growth areas of your relationship. Each seminar is 6 weeks.  There is no cost.  Register Online.

Twogether in Texas Marriage Education Class - Texas now offers free marriage education classes around the state. Couples who complete a class will save $60 on their marriage license. The classes are at least 8 hours long and focus on helping couples develop communication and conflict resolution skills and other tools for a strong relationship.

Dynamic Marriages is an interactive marriage seminar that takes couples through eight weeks of life and marriage enhancing information and experience. It is grounded in strong emotional, educational, psychological and biblical principles. The classes are limited to 12 couples, and enrollment is on a first come basis.  Register Online.

Got Conflict? We are Peacemakers that see conflict as an opportunity and our primary ministry is to equip Christians to respond to conflict in a biblical manner. We believe that Christ provided an excellent roadmap for effectively resolving conflict in all relationships, especially marriage. Whether you are married, separated, or divorced - we would like to share with you how to turn your conflict into an opportunity to glorify God. 

Marriage Reconciliation Support Group exists to encourage individuals and couples who are separated, divorced or struggling in a marriage "on the edge" to trust in God's power and principles for the healing and restoration of their marriage relationship. Trained couples whose marriages have been reconciled after separation or divorce lead each meeting. The group meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and every Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Only one spouse needs to attend and there is no fee to participate. 

Blended Family Ministry offers help and hope for step families. A weekly class called "In Step" shares God's word and practical insights to successfully overcome the challenges of blending families. The class meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
